Moment Energy’s Luna BESS is independently tested to all key BESS safety standards, including UL 1973 (battery packs), UL 9540 (energy storage system), and UL 9540A (fire-safety test method). In addition, our repurposing process is certified to UL 1974, and battery modules are tested to meet relevant transport and cell-level standards such as UN 38.3 and IEC 62619.

Our team continuously track system health, alarms, and environmental conditions so issues can be identified early and resolved quickly, minimizing downtime and protecting your operations.
Moment Energy designs its systems for a service life of 10+ years in commercial and industrial applications, depending on how the system is used. Because we repurpose high-quality EV batteries that still have strong state-of-health, our engineering and testing processes unlock an additional 10–15 years of useful life in stationary storage, supported by ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
Safety is built into every stage of our product, from cell screening to system commissioning. Batteries are rigorously tested and graded at our UL 1974-certified facility before integration. At the system level, Luna BESS includes multi-layer protection: an advanced battery management system (BMS), continuous monitoring, electrical and thermal safeguards, and a fire-risk mitigation strategy validated through UL 9540 and UL 9540A testing. We also provide clear operating procedures and work closely with local authorities to ensure each project meets or exceeds applicable codes and standards.
